Hike and Prune (Return Distance: 2 km )
Take HWY 54 from Brantford toward Middleport, turn left on Chiefswood Road, which becomes Pauline Johnson Rd. Drive 1.9 km from HWY 54 to the loop on the left side of the road at (43.117478, -80.086575) and park on the loop. The trail is 20 ft. north on the same side of Pauline Johnson as the parking loop. Turn left onto the trail and walk about 100m to the hedgerow. Trim the saplings and overgrowth along the hedgerow until you come to the old forest. There is less than a kilometer of hedgerow to trim.

If you’re ambitious, hide your trimmers and hike to Painter Road, 2.5 km from Pauline Johnson Rd. The trail is interesting with lots of variety and 5 bridges.
