About the hike: ​The hike starts at a dead end of Power Line Rd E (645 Power Line Rd E, Hamilton). We will hike out on the Headwaters Trail to the Homestead side trail, take that loop, then return on the Headwaters,
taking the Lookout side trail, and back to the cars. The trail is mainly wide and well marked, with rolling hills. There are a few longer hills. No washrooms.

About the leader: Jane is a new hike leader with GVTA, eager to get out with like-minded people who love to spend time walking in the woods and who would rather be outside than in. She hiked in various areas of the country for years and likes to hear about others’ experiences.

Pace and duration: Moderate, 3-4 km/h. About 3 hours
Hike level: 2 (intermediate). Primarily wide and well packed trails, some hills.

Parking & Departure: The hike will start at 10:00 am sharp, please arrive by 9:45. We will meet at the cul de sac at the end of Power Line Rd, 645 Power Line Rd E, Dundas, ON L9H 5E3 (43.231650, -80.026829) Parking is free, but not extensive so please carpool if possible.

Directions: Please use your favourite GPS app to obtain directions.

What to wear and bring: Dress for the weather, bring hiking poles if you prefer to hike with them and wear good hiking shoes. Bring water and snacks. Optional: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, bug spray - all depending on weather.

Sorry, no dogs on GVTA hikes with the exception of certified service dogs.
