About the hike: Happy Canada Day Hike! We’ll use the Elora Cataract Rail Trail to go from Fergus to Elora from then returning along the Grand River using a combination of the Grand Valley Trail and the Trestle Bridge Trail. We expect to head to a local establishment for an optional lunch.

Since completing it in 2024, he just kept going. An experienced hike leader, he enjoys sharing new and favourite trails that are usually a moderate distance at a moderate pace. Where: Fergus / Elora Length: 12 km Category: In and Out Pace: Moderate, 3 - 4 km/hr. About 3 hours. (plus extra for optional lunch) Hike level: Easy (1). Well marked trails. Mostly flat groomed trails, sidewalks and roads with some dirt trails including roots and rocks. Parking & Departure: Hike starts at 9 AM sharp at the parking lot at St. Andrew St. W. and Beatty Line N. (43.697391, -80.385951). Park near Beatty Line. Please arrive by 8:45 so we are ready to leave on time.
