About this hike: This hike will be in Carolinian Crest: North Brantford. The hike starts from a cul de sac off Oak Park Rd in Brantford. We immediately head down onto a trail that will take us to the Grand Valley Trail along the Grand River. The trail is well marked, mainly flat, and winds through the woods close to the river, which will often come into view. After approximately 6.5 kms we will arrive at a footbridge that crosses the river where we can get a good view of the river as we take a water and snack break. From this resting spot we will head back, on the same side of the river, along the SC Johnson rail trail. At one point there is a bit of road walking before we get back onto the rail trail. For the last section of the hike we will head back down into the woods and back to the parking area.
