About the hike: Tonight’s walk will take us on city trails along Kitchener’s network of creeks, from Highland Rd to Westheights Park, where we will hopefully hear some frogs, and back.

About the leader: Didier has been leading hikes with the GVTA for the past 8 years. He loves sharing his passion for nature and the outdoors with fellow hikers.

Length: 8.5 km
Category: There and back with a small loop
Pace and duration: Moderate, 3.5 km/hr. About 2.5 hours.
Hike level: Easy. Well marked, paved, wide trails. 

Parking and departure: Hike starts at 6:45 pm sharp from the parking lot of the Evergreen Mall on Highland Rd W, on the Dollarama side near Lawrence Avenue (43.438688, -80.510844). Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can depart on time.

Directions: Please use your favourite GPS app to obtain directions.
 
What to wear and bring: Dress according to weather. Wear good shoes (sneakers okay). Bring water and a snack, bug repellent, and a flashlight in case it’s dark by the time we come back.

Sorry, no dogs on GVTA hikes with the exception of certified service dogs.
