About the hike: This relatively easy urban hike will take us from Victoria Park down to Lakeside Park and back. Despite being in the middle of the city, we will take mostly green corridors and enjoy as much nature as we can.

About the leader: Didier has been leading hikes with the GVTA for the past 8 years. He loves sharing his passion for nature and the outdoors with fellow hikers.

Length: 6.5 km
Category: There and back
Pace and duration: Moderate, 3.5 km/hr. About 1.5 hours.
Hike level: Easy. Well marked, paved, wide trails. 

Parking and departure: Hike starts at 6:45 pm sharp from the Victoria Park Pavilion, Kichener (43.445511, -80.499338). There is parking around the Pavilion, with overflow parking in adjacent streets (David St.) but be very mindful of parking restrictions. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can depart on time.

Directions: Please use your favourite GPS app to obtain directions.
 
What to wear and bring: Dress according to weather. Wear good shoes (sneakers okay). Bring water and bug repellent, and a flashlight in case it’s dark by the time we come back.

Sorry, no dogs on GVTA hikes with the exception of certified service dogs.
