About this hike: Geology hike with Beth Gilhespy. Walking Through Time author Beth Gilhespy has worked in the field of environmental conservation for more than 30 years. She holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in physical geography and geology from the University of Guelph. Beth will take us on a journey to explore the geology around us. She'll explain the formation of the local rock in tropical seas hundreds of millions of years ago, and the forces that have formed the landscape of today. This hike will be limited to about 25 participants. If youregistered and no longer can participate advise hike leader.

If she is not plotting a hike or a trip, she is often walking the trails. Beth is an avid hiker, traveller, fossil collector, and self-professed landscape fanatic. When not out exploring the land, she can be found writing books on the geology of the Niagara Escarpment.
Where: rare Charitable Research Reserve, Cambridge Length: 3 to 5 km Category: Loop Pace and duration: Easy, 1-2 km/hr. About 2 hours. Hike level: Easy (1). The terrain might be a little uneven in places, it is a trail, but the hike is easy. Parking and departure: Park at rare Eco Centre parking lot, 768 Blair Rd, Cambridge, ON N3H 4R8, (43.381177, -80.356999). Please arrive 15 to 10 minutes before the hike. Hikes starts at 1 pm sharp.
